Shared Ownership is designed to help people who want to buy their own home but are finding it difficult to find suitable properties they can afford.
With Shared Ownership you can buy part of your home now and pay rent for the other part. Shared Ownership can be more affordable than outright purchase because the amount you pay for the share you rent is lower than rents on the open market. This is because we can obtain government grants to cover some of the cost of building your home.
